I've just got back from a holiday in Cornwall.
Got some nice sketches, so expect some paintings of beaches sometime soon.

I also tried some photography - I've never been very interested before because of our cheap digital camera. It's a nikon coolpix 5200, which is basically one of those tiny silver things that thinks it knows best what settings and focus will be best, and consequently takes a few seconds to take a picture.
It's slightly easier to use than I expected, but that doesn't stop me from nagging Dad to get a proper camera.
Still, I may be uploading a couple of photos.
And of course a few more paintings. May take a while though, since I only took the sketching materials on holiday, still got to make the actual paintings.

It is so useful to have a giant collection of BBC Wildlife magazines. I don't know how I'd survive without them. I can get an article on anything I want!
We also have 'Wildlife photographer of the year' portfolios from the past ten years. May give some interesting inspiration.

Right, I've submitted my first deviation, and I'm pretty pleased with it.

I'll probably not be submitting all of my paintings, due to the hassle of scanning them in and editing them. I will upload anything that I think is special, shows skill, or is a new technique for me.

Most of my painings are in watercolour, but I do do a bit of anime/manga digitally. I am experimenting with pastels and dry media, I quite like charcoal and am hoping to buy some conte crayons.

My favorite subjects are animals, especially African or Australian. My next picture will probably be a herd of elephants.
